Structured-Objective Rorschach Test (SORT)

The SORT is an adaptation of J.B. Stone’s Structured-Objective Rorschach Test. By means of the SORT personality is evaluated for mental functioning, interest, responsiveness and temperament for use in, among others, guidance, selection and placement.

The SORT was adapted and standardised for White South Africans of both official language groups between 11 and 54 years.

The SORT can be administered individually or as a group test. The SORT provides indications of a person’s leadership qualities, sense of responsibility, tendency towards inner conflict, creativity, drive, integrity and the ability to solve problems, make decisions and communicate. The test is used, inter alia, to predict career success.

Norms

Tables, as T scores for different age groups 10 – 16, 17 – 24 and 25+ and for persons with English or Afrikaans as their home language, are incorporated in the manual.
